Its work spans participatory celebrity culture from American Idol to YouTube, platform economies including Twitch and emerging streaming ecosystems such as Kick, and the influence of advertising on representation in film and television. The community also engages in film production through cinematography, original directing, and support for student-led projects like the Aperture International Student Film Festival.
